Genre: Communication Board
Communication boards are often used in Special Education. They are used with students who have limited language. There are all different types of boards to express different things. I decided to display the information from my TELL project in a communication board. The board is one of the symbols that can be used to represent my future. My communication board is going to consist of three sections: past. present, and future. Each of the sections with have an option of three pictures that match up with different stories. The velcro on the communication board will allow people to change the pictures and stories in each section. There will be different color background for each of the pictures that match the color background of the story is goes with. These stories will be the explanation of the picture it goes along with and why it is in that particular section.
This communication board offers a lot of different options for the student to pick from. The different pictures on the board allow student to convey the message that they wish to get across. It is larger which makes it easy to see and work with. Students can move the different pictures around to tell different stories. I'm going to think about the size of the picture i use when making my communication board.
This communication board is very small. It is simple which makes it easy to use. The student would have different pictures that htye can pair together to get their message across. In the TELL project I will be displaying my message of how different moments/artifacts/people have influenced my education. The picture I display will go along with a story about why I picked that picture.
I really like how this communication board is in a binder. It makes it easy to carry around and allows the student to add more pages with pictures and sayings. The pages contain a strip of velcro which makes it easy for the student to move around the different things they want to say.
